Regional Libraries are the heart of communities, and that is no exception in and around Erie, PA. Libraries are our last true, no-cost community resource and we are committed to investing in their transformational growth.
The Erie Regional Library Foundation’s vision is to pave a path of possibility within our community through the power of a robust library system. We provide funding for dynamic new projects that keep our libraries creative, flexible, and ready to serve.
Our organization was founded in 2000 as the philanthropic tributary of the Erie County Public Library System. As a 501 (c)3 organization, the funding we have raised has been essential in enhancing regional libraries to create a local network of education and innovation.
The Erie Regional Library is proud to help carry on the legacy of Dr. Raymond M. Blasco, a fierce library supporter whose endowment at the Erie Community Foundation made the initial operations of this foundation possible. We are proud to secure funding so our libraries can grow and change alongside our diverse community. In addition to funding the construction of new branches and maintaining our established branches, we have also invested in supporting innovation programming, strategic planning efforts, the Bookmobile, and more.
